What is the purpose of Colon Hydrotherapy?

The goals of Colon Hydrotherapy are to hydrate the colon, remove toxins from the body, make more room for the other organs, and tone the large intestines. Colon Hydrotherapy is a preventative tool, is not a cure for illness or substitute for medicine. 90% of disease begins in the bowel. Cleansing the body of toxins regularly can have long term health benefits. We clean our body every day by taking a shower. It is just as important to clean the toxins from the bowel on a regular basis.

History of Colon Cleansing

Historical records indicate that cleansing the bowel is a practice that began 4,000 years ago. The oldest medical texts, known as Hindu Vedas, describe colon cleansing as the practice of using enemas and laxatives to remove excess waste and toxins from the bowels. Hippocrates, King Louis XI, King Louis XIII, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (of Kellogg's Corn Flake fame) and Edgar Cayce were supporters of colon cleansing. Colon Hydrotherapy is extremely popular in Europe and is also practiced widely among Scandinavians. People can carry 4-40 pounds of waste in their large intestines. What will happen during my session?

When you arrive your therapist will give you some routine paperwork to complete. Your therapist will ask you some questions about your lifestyle and health history. You will have a chance to ask your therapist any questions you may have. If this is your first session at our office, your therapist will give you information about the body, the colon hydrotherapy equiptment, and tell you what is going to happen during the session. Your therapist will walk you through the entire session. During the session, you will be assisted in breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. During the session you will fill and release 3-15 times. You will be in communication with your therapist the entire time. Your therapist will make sure you have a good colonic session and that you feel comfortable and relaxed. When the session is over you will use the restroom for a final release and get dressed. Many clients say Aqua Body Cleansing made their colonic experience easy, relaxing and comfortable.

Who can benefit from Colon Hydrotherapy?

Most everyone can benefit from colon cleansing.
If you feel 'toxic', a colonic will help you feel relieved. Feeling toxic can have any of the following symptoms; feeling sluggish or tired, foggy thinking, depression, gas, bloating, indigestion, back pain, skin problems, body odor, bad breath, and allergies.

If you have digestive problems, you can benifit from colonics.

If you have eaten too much junk food, or had too much alcohol and caffeine, cleansing your colon can be beneficial. If you are in recovery, doing a cleanse, or have had an eating disorder you will benefit from Colon Hydrotherapy.

Is there anyone who should not get a colonic?
Yes. If someone has had recent abdominal surgery, is pregnant, has uncontrolled high blood pressure, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis or a hernia, should not get a colonic. If you have had these conditions in the past, but they have been resolved, you may get a colonic.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my session?

Please do not eat or drink 60 minutes before your session. All other prepration is optional.

A few days before your session increase your water intake.
The day before your appointment please eat mainly fruits and vegetables. This will allow you to get the maximin benifit from your colonic session. The day before your colonic please do not eat; bread, corn, rice, pasta, products containing gluten, crackers, popcorn, meat including; chicken, turkey, and fish and dairy products. Quinoa is a natural grain and you can eat it the day before your session.

Be sure to eat light the morning of your appointment. Please do not drink carbonated beverages the day of your session. You do not need to fast. Fasting is unneccessary.

Your 1st Appointment

Your 1st appointment takes about 75 minutes. All new patients must book a 1st appointment because they have to complete paperwork and the first experience takes slightly longer than a follow up appointment, You will have a 45 minute colonic session with Rebecca. During that time she will walk you through the process step-by-step and make sure you have a wonderful experience. People say she makes them comfortable with the process, that she's gentle and easy to talk to. She will talk to you about your digestion, lifestyle and habits, and provide you with suggestions about reaching your individual health goals. A recommendation will be made for the frequency of booking follow up sessions or a series of appointments.

A Series of Appointments

When starting colon cleaning its a good idea to do 5 consecutive sessions, Series appointments are booked once a week for 5 weeks in a row. Your series appointments will be booked based on your bodies needs and schedule.

Follow Up Appointments

After your first appointment you can book up follow up sessions. The appointment takes about 60 minutes. At your first appointment recommendation may be made about how often you should have sessions.

Rebecca Lomeli, I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, Certified Massage Practitioner & Owner

Rebecca believes in a holistic approach to living; valuing the mind, body and soul as three equal parts of a whole person. Continually living a balanced healthy lifestyle can have long term health benefits. We need to listen to, respect, and honor our bodies.

Rebecca is an I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and Certified Massage Practitioner. Her personal experience with Colon Hydrotherapy has lead her to pass this experience on to others. Over the last 20 years she has worked with children, adults, and older adults in their homes, schools, foster care settings, and in long term care facilities. She received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Barat College of DePaul University. She received continuing education at West Los Angeles Colleges' program of Drug and Alcohol Counseling Studies, the American Institute of Natural Health, the College of Botanical Healing Arts and Twin Lakes College of the Healing Arts.

During the last 20 years she studied: Long Term Care, Diet, Holistic Health, Herbal Medicine, Reiki, Energetic Healing, Breathwork, Exercise, Yoga, Nutrition, Essential Oils, Vibrational Healing, Flower Essence, Dream Analysis, Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Accupressure, Tapping, Cupping, and Guided Meditation.

We have a 48 hour cancelation policy. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours prior, you will be charged the full session fee.
All deposits and payments are nonrefundable.
No refunds are available, however, credits may be transferred to a friend or family member.
All appointments are prepaid. You are responsible for paying for your appointment at the time of booking.
Missed appointments will be charged the entire session fee.
If you miss your appointment you will be charged the full session fee.
If you arrive 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, it will be counted as a missed appointment. No services will be rendered.
